The magic returns to the Landestheater Tübingen

ree

The Tübingen Magic Gala has been part of the city's cultural calendar for over two decades. In 2026, it will bring back magic to the city presented by an ensemble of internationally renowned artists from various branches of magic - great illusion, manipulation, mental magic and the female side of magic come together for a varied evening full of magic.

Collin & Company – Grand Illusions and Family Ensemble

Collin & Company stand for energetic big illusions, which are realised with an exceptionally well-rehearsed family ensemble. Precision, timing and a modern use of illusions characterise their style. Their performances combine great effects with a strong communal stage presence.

Double German champion at the German Championships of Magic.

Maurice Grange – European Champion of Manipulation

Maurice Grange represents the young elite of European art of manipulation. In close cooperation with Eberhard Riese, the former president of the Magic Circle Germany, he developed a stage language that combines precision and narrative clarity. Maurice works with minimalist props, but with maximum expressiveness: cards, balls and objects appear and disappear in rhythmic movements that make his technical mastery as visible as his sense of atmosphere.

European Champion of Magic 2024, French Overall Winner 2023 and German Youth Champion 2022 in the Manipulation division.

Alana – Grand-Prix-Champion und Magician of the Year

Stations of her career took her to the Magic Castle in Hollywood, the World Magic Seminar in Las Vegas and to international festivals. With her act In Her Hands she won both the national Grand Prix and the Russian Grand Prix.

The Magic Circle of Germany subsequently elected her as the first woman in 100 years as the Magician of the Year. Alana's style combines clear aesthetics, fine irony, and strong visual ideas—a modern, confident perspective on magic.

Julius Frack – Mentalism and World Champion of Illusions

Julius Frack has been the host of the Tübingen Magic Gala since 2000 and is one of Germany's internationally established illusionists. He became World Champion of Great Illusions (FISM Beijing 2009) and Magician of the Year 2010, received the Mandrakes d'Or in Paris as well as numerous international awards.

For the Magic Gala 2026, Julius Frack shows current works from his field of mental magic - experiments with perception, decisions and intuition that do without great props and yet have a strong effect.

MC: Dani Steep

Dani Steep combines the different styles of the evening with humour, musicality and a modern form of entertainment. He provides the dramaturgical structure of the gala and creates elegant transitions between the four stage manuscripts in addition to his own magical acts.

An evening full of diversity and personality

The 24th Tübingen Magic Gala shows different ways to tell magic - from large devices to fine dexterity, from visual elegance to mental experiments.

Together they form a program that shows how lively and versatile the art of magic is today.
